Lime Green, Royal Blue and Turquoise Silk Wrap

This luxurious silk twill 12 and ponge 5 silk wrap is soft, light and hangs well - perfect to wear in the evening for a special occasion. It's wonderful for keeping the draughts away and weddings or cruises are places where this wrap would be useful.

This lime green, royal blue and turquoise silk wrap measures 210 x 51 cm (84 x 20"). This wrap has two sides which are dyed individually. The inside is a ponge 5 silk, whilst the outside is silk twill 12. The two pieces are then sewed together. I stitch my own label onto the inside. The wrap is hand washable. 

Handcrafted dye technique:
This wrap has two sides which are dyed individually. The inside is a ponge 5 which I dyed in a pale aqua using steam fix dyes. The outer is silk twill 12 which I sprayed with Lime surrounded by royal blue with a background of turquoise steam fix dyes. I dropped salt onto the wet silk. When heat is applied the salt pulls the dye into a unique pattern. The wrap is then steamed to fix the dye.

As each piece is made by hand, every wrap is one-of-a-kind.
