Yellow Butterfly Silk Sarong

This luxurious ponge 5 silk sarong is soft, light and hangs well - perfect for the beach or as a long scarf.

This yellow butterfly Silk Sarong measures 180 x 90 cm (71 x 35"). It is large enough to wrap around the body, shoulders, or neck.  It can be tied around the waist as a skirt, around the body as a dress or over the shoulders as a shawl. It will fold up very small so is great for travelling. It is hand washable and washing instructions are included. The edges are hand rolled and hand stitched and I've sewn my designer label into the hem.

Handcrafted dye technique:
I drew butterflies on the sarong with gold gutta and then painted the butterflies with various shades of red and purple. When dry, I painted the background in golden yellow. The sarong was then steamed to fix the dye.

As each piece is made by hand, every sarong is one-of-a-kind.
