Violets on Pale Grey Silk Sarong

This luxurious ponge 5 silk sarong is soft, light and hangs well - perfect for the beach or as a long scarf.

This violets on pale grey Silk Sarong measures 180 x 90 cm (71 x 35"). It is large enough to wrap around the body, shoulders, or neck.  It can be tied around the waist as a skirt, around the body as a dress or over the shoulders as a shawl. It will fold up very small so is great for travelling. It is hand washable and washing instructions are included. The edges are hand rolled and hand stitched and I've sewn my designer label into the hem.

Handcrafted dye technique:
I sprayed ponge 5 silk with pale grey steam fix dye. Whilst still wet, I painted violet shaped flowers with purple steam fix dye. I then dropped salt onto the pale grey background which pulls the dye into a unique pattern. When dry, I added detail to the flowers in silver gutta. The sarong was then steamed to fix the dye.

As each piece is made by hand, every sarong is one-of-a-kind.
