Silk Sarongs

The butterflies were hand drawn and outlined in gold gutta. The butterflies were then painted with orange dye. The background top was painted aqua while the bottom was painted in an iris colour. Salt was then dropped onto the wet Iris colour and when heat is applied the salt pulls the dye into a unique pattern.  The sarong was then steamed to fix the dye. Ideal to take on holiday. They measure 180cm by 90cm (72 inches by 36 inches). You can tie them around your neck, bust or waist. Great beach wear and hand washable.
