Green Tartan Silk Cravat
This green tartan silk cravat is made from double thickness silk twill 12. The nape of the neck is pleated for comfort. I used emerald green, spring green and olive green steam fix dyes. I painted a stripe of emerald green dye across the silk and dried the dye. Next I painted a spring green stripe across the emerald green stripe and dried the dye. Then I painted an olive green stripe next to the emerald green stripe and dried it. I then painted another stripe of each colour across the colour before drying each stripe before painting the next. Putting wet dye against dry creates a strong line. The pattern created is tartan. The cravat is hand washable and washing instructions are included. Each cravat is individually hand dyed so colours and patterns will vary.
