Poppies on Navy Blue Large Square Silk Scarf

This luxurious ponge 5 large square silk scarf is soft, light and hangs well - perfect for everyday wear and makes a great present.

This poppies on navy blue large square silk scarf measures 90 x 90 cm (35 x 35"). It is large enough to wrap around the shoulders as a shawl or over the head. It has hand rolled and stitched edges into which I stitch my own label. The scarf is hand washable and washing instructions are included.

Handcrafted dye technique:
I painted the poppies with red and black steam fix dyes onto wet ponge 5 silk. When dry, I drew around the poppies with gold gutta and then painted the background with a navy-blue dye. The scarf was steamed to fix the dye.

This scarf will brighten a summer outfit or can be worn in winter with a suit or coat.

As each piece is made by hand, every scarf is one-of-a-kind.
