Purple and Iris Small Long Silk Scarf

This luxurious ponge 5 silk scarf is soft, light and hangs well - perfect for everyday wear or a special gift.

This purple and iris long silk scarf measures 114 x 28 cm (45 x 11"). It will go around the neck once and tie. It looks smart with a shirt, as a necktie or as a headband. It has hand rolled and hand stitched edges into which I stitch my own label.  The scarf is hand washable and washing instructions are included.

Handcrafted dye technique:
I sprayed ponge 5 silk with purple and iris steam fix dyes. Whilst wet I dropped salt onto the dye and applied heat which pulled the dye into a unique pattern.  The scarf was then steamed to fix the dye.

There are tones of purple, blue and pink, so it will compliment purple clothing.

As each piece is made by hand, every scarf is one-of-a-kind.
