Emerald, Blue and Turquoise Tartan Small Long Silk Scarf

This luxurious ponge 5 silk scarf is soft, light and hangs well - perfect for everyday wear or a special gift.

This long silk scarf measures 114 x 28 cm (45 x 11"). It will go around the neck once and tie. It looks smart with a shirt, as a necktie or as a headband. It has hand rolled and hand stitched edges into which I stitch my own label.  The scarf is hand washable and washing instructions are included.

Handcrafted dye technique:
I used ponge 5 and steam fix dyes in royal blue, emerald green and turquoise. I painted diagonal stripes across the scarf, drying each stripe before painting the next and painting stripes in alternative directions. The pattern created resembles tartan. The scarf was then steamed to fix the dye.

As each piece is made by hand, every scarf is one-of-a-kind.
