Black and Burgundy Red Self Tie Silk Bow Tie

This stylish self-tie Silk Bow Tie is perfect for everyday wear or for that special occasion and makes a great choice for a gift, whatever time of year.

This black and burgundy red Silk Bow Tie will fit many neck sizes as it has elastic in the nape of the neck. It is hand washable and washing instructions are included.

Handcrafted dye technique:
I sprayed twill 12 silk with black and burgundy steam fix dyes and then dropped salt onto the wet dye. When I applied heat, the salt pulled the dye into a unique pattern. After washing the silk, I then cut out the bow tie and stitched two pieces together with interfacing for stiffening. Finally I stitched the two sections together with elastic.

This is an alternative for a black tie event.

As each piece is made by hand, every bow tie is one-of-a-kind.
