This square silk scarf measures 90 by 90 centimetres or 35 by 35 inches. It has hand rolled and stitched edges into which I sew my own label. It is large enough to wear around the shoulders, neck or head. I sprayed the silk with black, royal blue and sky blue steam fix dyes. I then dropped salt onto the wet dye. When heat is applied the salt pulls the dye into a unique pattern. The scarf is then steamed to fix the dye. The scarf is hand washable and washing instructions are included.
