This square silk headscarf measures 74 by 74 centimetres or 29 by 29 inches. It has hand rolled and hand stitched edges into which I sew my own label. It can be worn as a head scarf or around the neck. I sprayed the silk with navy, royal blue and turquoise steam fix dye. I then dropped salt onto the wet dye. When heat is applied the salt pulls the dye into a unique pattern. The scarf is then steamed to fix the dye. The scarf is hand washable and washing instructions are included.
