This silk scarf is ponge 5 silk which is soft, light and drapes well. I sprayed steam fix dyes in orange, pale pink and violet. I then dropped salt onto the wet dye. When heat is applied the salt pulls the dye into a unique pattern. The scarf is then steamed to fix the dye. It is then hand washable and washing instructions are included.
