This square silk scarf measures 90 by 90 centimetres or 35 by 35 inches. It has hand rolled and hand stitched edges into which I sew my own label. It is large enough to wear around the shoulders, neck or head. I painted a blue stripe of dye diagonally across the scarf which I then dried. When dry I painted a green stripe at right angles across the first stripe. When dry I then painted a turquoise stripe next to the first stripe. I then repeated the process once. A tartan pattern appears. The scarf was then steamed to fix the dye. It is hand washable and washing instructions are included.
