This crepe de chine 8 long scarf is soft, light and drapes well. It measures 180 by 45 centimetres or 72 by 18 inches. I painted diagonal stripes of bright red dye. When dry I painted diagonal stripes of cherry red dye across the bright red dye. When dry I painted diagonal burgundy stripes against the other two red dyes. I then repeated the sequence above. When wet dye is put against dry dye it creates a line similar to a row of stitching. A tartan pattern is created. The scarf is then steamed to fix the dye. The scarf is then hand washable and washing instructions are included. I sew my own label into the hem.
